Born and raised in Toledo, OH, Casey Lamar Casey has been cutting hair for over 26 years. He has truly started from humbling beginnings. Currently known to all as Lamarvelous - The Head Chef, who calls himself a "Bartist" (Barber/Artist), he has been passionate about cutting hair since the young age of 14 years old when he told his mother that all he wanted for Christmas was new clothes and a set of hair clippers. Lamarvelous loved to draw and was inspired to get into barbering once he learned that he would be able to draw in someone's head with clippers, while also wanting to help his Mother save money by cutting his five younger brother's hair for free. But what Lamarvelous wasn’t aware of at the time is that God’s plan for his life was just beginning…
What started in the projects as what Lamarvelous likes to call "Kitchen Cuts", beginning with his younger brothers, led him to gaining more clients in his neighborhood and schools, cutting basketball players and coaches hair before the games and other major local events. Lamarvelous loved seeing his work and the excitement everyone got after a fresh cut by him. Lamarvelous continued to experiment on his friend’s and family’s heads, ultimately perfecting his craft.
Now Lamarvelous resides in Atlanta, GA. From working under another barber's license in the state Georgia, Lamarvelous has become a Master Barber and is now a shop Owner of Barbers I Trust Barbershop located in Dallas, GA.
In 2018, entering the Bronner Brothers Hair Show for the first time, Lamarvelous won First Place of the Andis Total Look Barbering Competition. Then going back in 2019 for a second time winning 3rd place, proving that he's one of a kind. Lamarvelous is highly recognized in the community for his skills, outgoing personality, and his willingness to support the youth by paving the way for the next generation of barbers, which is essential for developing their creative talents and professional skills.
Lamarvelous also invested in becoming a certified Hair Replacement Specialist for those who are thinning, balding, hair is receding, and/or have alopecia. A service that helps bring back confidence and improve self-esteem by restoring your hair.
Lamarvelous is a man of faith and therefore puts God first in everything that he does. Lamarvelous says "Barbering is like Ministry, it delivers and uplifts so many souls just by having gifted hands and a creative mind". Lamarvelous is truly a gift from God. His goal is to make you look and feel your best, all while sharing God’s word. He is truly doing God’s work, and loves creating a spirit-led, positive experience for his clients.
